I would like to ask for your help. It's a simple request and it doesn't require you to leave your desktop. We are currently working on a project called Masefield TV with a group of senior residents on a deprived housing estate in Kings Norton. We are skilling up the group in the uses of mobile broadcast technology as a tool for community dialogue and cohesion. You can find out information about the project and meet the group on our website:www.c21vox.tv. On Wednesday (25th June) between 10am-12pm(GMT) the group will be running a live streaming event from two mobile phones on issues pertinent to the development of the estate. It will include live reports, interviews, and reflections on the issues - housing repairs and community hall extension. This is "primitive" live TV without mixing or effects - but it is accompanied by a chat function and this is where we would like you to participate by leaving a comment. Your interest may be in media in a social context or relate to community development issues but your involvement will be appreciated and constructive. We want the group to get a sense of the immediacy of this kind of technology, its unrestricted geographical outreach as well as its power for stimulating local action.
